New methodologies to understand the interaction between learning and artificial intelligence.

The AI-School project represents an innovative approach to digital education, designed to prepare both students and educators for the challenges of modern digital citizenship. At its core, the initiative focuses on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into school curricula at multiple educational levels, fostering essential 21st-century skills. The project aims to develop new teaching materials and courses that will help middle and high school students across Europe better understand AI technologies while promoting creativity, innovation, and critical thinking in digital environments.

A central component of AI-School is the implementation of a hybrid learning model, combining online and face-to-face educational activities. This blended approach allows for flexible, personalized learning experiences while testing the effectiveness of digital tools in traditional classroom settings. Partner schools in countries such as Italy, Spain, Belgium, and Turkey will collaborate to refine this model, ensuring it meets diverse educational needs and promotes cross-cultural exchange among participants.

To ensure long-term impact, the project emphasizes sustainability and broad dissemination of its outcomes. Educational resources developed under AI-School will be made available as open educational resources (OERs), accessible to educators worldwide. Additionally, training materials, guidelines, and other outputs will be translated into multiple languages to maximize their reach. By establishing strong networks with local and European stakeholders, AI-School seeks to create a lasting legacy that extends beyond the project’s duration, contributing to the broader digital transformation of education systems across Europe.
